Common Questions
Regular sauna use supports cardiovascular health, aids muscle recovery, reduces stress, and improves sleep quality. The deep heat promotes blood circulation and can help relieve joint and muscle pain. Many users report improved mood, clearer skin, and a stronger immune response over time.
A traditional sauna heats the air in the cabin using a stove and stones, reaching higher temperatures (70–90°C+). You can pour water over the stones for steam (löyly). An infrared sauna uses infrared panels to heat your body directly at lower air temperatures (45–65°C). Both deliver health benefits — traditional offers the classic Finnish sauna experience, while infrared provides a gentler, more targeted heat.
A traditional sauna typically operates between 70–90°C and above. Pouring water over the heated Finnish olivine stones creates steam (löyly) which raises the perceived heat and humidity. Most sessions last 15–25 minutes, followed by a cool-down period.
The Lahti sauna requires a dedicated 20A circuit at 230V, hardwired by a registered electrician. The sauna arrives as pre-built panel sections that clip and screw together. Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct assembly and electrical connection.
