Everything you need to know about our ice baths, chillers, and saunas — all in one place.

Certainly! These tubs are made from galvanized steel, known for its durability and rust-resistant properties, making them ideal for outdoor use in harsh weather conditions.

We offer two sizes:

4-foot Ice Bath — 1200mm L × 600mm W × 600mm H, 19kg
5-foot Ice Bath — 1500mm L × 600mm W × 600mm H, 24kg

Our ice baths are packaged in groups of three for shipping to New Zealand, which may result in slight variations in dimensions depending on the size you order. This is entirely intentional and ensures efficient, cost-effective shipping while maintaining the quality of our products.

The 4-foot Ice Tub holds up to 386 litres of water, while the 5-foot Tub boasts a fill capacity of nearly 550 litres. If you opt for the 5-foot tub, you'll need more water and more bags of ice to achieve that chilly temperature.

Some people prefer to compress with arms folded and knees bent, while others love to stretch out fully. If you're 6 feet tall or taller, you may find your sprawling abilities slightly limited in the 4-footer — but both options allow full immersion and all the benefits an ice bath has to offer. We recommend the 5-footer for anyone taller than 6'5".

Each Ice Tub comes equipped with a convenient 20mm screw plug positioned on the lower side wall. To drain, simply remove the plug and let gravity do the rest. Alternatively, you can use an expandable washing machine/dishwasher drain hose (available at stores like Bunnings) to direct the water towards your garden or preferred location.

As a helpful starting point, begin by filling your Ice Tub with water and using just one bag of ice, especially if you're new to this routine. As you get used to the sensation and adapt over time, gradually increase the number of bags. Keep in mind that the point of discomfort varies for each individual, so you'll need to find your own starting point.

Our chiller motors make about as much noise as a small household fan. Once the water reaches its selected temperature, the fan will turn off automatically.

We recommend using non-chlorine-based cleaning products. One product that has worked really well for many customers is Colloidal Silver.

Ice Baths: From the moment you purchase, estimated delivery is 5 working days for Auckland, 10–12 business days for the rest of the North Island, and 12 working days for the South Island.

Ice Baths + Chillers: We place orders for chillers on a monthly basis to maintain stock. If current stock sells out, there may be a wait time of approximately 35–45 days for the next shipment. This accounts for manufacturing, shipping, and processing — we recommend placing your order early to avoid delays. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Shipping rates are based on residential delivery. If you would prefer to collect your ice bath from your nearest Mainfreight depot, we can offer a flat rate of $100 within the North Island. Additional shipping charges apply for South Island orders. Please email info@theicebathnz.co.nz for more information.

Saunas not only offer a beautiful wooden aesthetic but are also excellent for full-body detoxification through sweating, which aids in expelling impurities from both the skin and the body. This process can boost overall wellness by improving blood flow, potentially reducing joint stiffness and alleviating issues linked to poor circulation. Saunas are well-regarded for their ability to ease stress and tension, and can rejuvenate skin cells — leaving you feeling deeply relaxed and revitalised.

Yep, we've got you covered with easy-to-follow manuals and a bunch of videos to walk you through the setup step-by-step. That said, we'd suggest getting a builder or a handy friend to help out, since it can be a pretty big job if you're not super into DIY.

One key feature of a traditional sauna is its ability to reach higher temperatures, typically between 80–90°C. This intense heat helps promote deep sweating, relaxation, and various health benefits. The high heat levels are ideal for those looking to experience the full sauna effect, enhancing detoxification and improving circulation.

Our traditional saunas are equipped with powerful heaters to reach high temperatures efficiently. For example, our Barrel Sauna uses a 6kW heater, which provides the intense heat typically associated with traditional dry saunas.

Our lead time from when you place your order is 45–55 days depending on where you are located in New Zealand. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about shipping and delivery.
