Safety Standard
Every Aurora sauna ships with EMF levels rated at 0–3 milligauss — lower than most household appliances. This isn't an upgrade or add-on. It's built into the heater design from the start.
0–3 milligauss
For context, a typical hair dryer emits 60–200 mG, and a microwave oven 100–300 mG. The Aurora range sits at 0–3 mG — well below the threshold of everyday electronics. You can sit inside for extended sessions without concern.
Near Infrared (NIR)
700–1,400 nm
Penetrates the skin's surface layers. Supports cellular energy production and skin health. The closest wavelength to natural sunlight.
Mid Infrared (MIR)
1,400–3,000 nm
Reaches deeper into soft tissue. Promotes circulation and supports joint and muscle recovery.
Far Infrared (FIR)
3,000–10,000 nm
The deepest-penetrating wavelength. Raises core body temperature for a deep, detoxifying sweat at lower ambient temperatures.
Every sauna in our range meets SAA electrical safety, emissions and build quality standards.
Common Questions
Regular sauna use has been linked to improved cardiovascular health, reduced muscle soreness, better sleep quality, and stress relief. Infrared saunas operate at lower ambient temperatures than traditional saunas while still raising your core body temperature — producing a deep, detoxifying sweat that many users find more comfortable and sustainable for longer sessions.
Traditional saunas heat the air around you (typically 70–100°C), which then heats your body. Infrared saunas use infrared light to heat your body directly at lower ambient temperatures (30–70°C). This means you can sweat deeply at a more comfortable temperature, for longer sessions, and with lower energy consumption. Full-spectrum infrared (near, mid, far) provides the broadest range of therapeutic wavelengths.
The Aurora infrared saunas reach up to 70°C. Most users find their preferred temperature between 45–60°C. The sauna reaches 40°C in around 10 minutes, and full operating temperature within 20–30 minutes. Because infrared heats your body directly rather than just the air, you'll start sweating well before the cabin reaches its maximum temperature.
Not at all. The Aurora arrives flat-packed with pre-cut panels that slot together — no special tools required. Two people can assemble it in around 2 hours. The main requirement is a 15A dedicated circuit, which we recommend having a licensed electrician confirm before you plug in. The sauna is designed for indoor use: home gym, spare room, garage, or wellness area.
"We use the sauna and ice bath back-to-back every morning. The build quality is beautiful and the infrared heaters get it to temperature faster than I expected. Completely transformed our home wellness routine."
